To dismantle the cradle to prison pipeline for children of color, and children in poverty, through education.
Who We Are
The Minority Overrepresentation Committee of the Fourth Judicial District Best Practices Court sponsors the Educating Children of Color website. The Fourth Judicial District Best Practices Court is a collaborative effort between the Juvenile Bench, El Paso County Department of Human Services, Child Placement Agencies, the Office of Guardian ad Litem, Connect Care, Respondent's Counsel, and Court Appointed Special Advocates of the Pikes Peak Region.
The subcommittee is comprised of the Juvenile Bench, DHS, GAL's office, Harrison School District 2, School District 11, CASA, Centro de la Familia, Mission Possible, the Community Partnership for Child Development, Colorado College, Colorado Technical University, Colorado State University Pueblo, Pikes Peak Immigrant and Refugee Coalition, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Committee.
